Eligibility Requirements

Applicant Requirements: Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens, in good health, and demonstrate excellent academic and personal conduct.

Educational Background: Those applying for PhD programs must hold a degree equivalent to a Chinese master’s degree and be under 40 years of age.

Language Proficiency: Applicants for bachelor’s programs must possess at least HSK Level 3 Chinese proficiency. Chinese language competence must meet the entry requirements of the respective academic programs.

Application Procedure

Step 1: Online Application

1. Apply online via the International Student Office website.

Log in to the Tianjin University of Technology International Student Application System (https://tjut.at0086.cn/StuApplication/Login.aspx) to complete the online form.

2. Upload the Tianjin Municipal Government Scholarship Application Form to the system.

Application Documents:

1. Tianjin Municipal Government Scholarship Application Form for International Students

2. Notarized highest education diploma or pre-graduation certificate

3. Academic transcripts

4. Proof of language proficiency

5. Foreigner Physical Examination Form

6. Non-criminal record certificate

7. Two recommendation letters written in Chinese or English from associate professors or higher in relevant fields

Special Notes:

● Faxed application materials will not be accepted.

● Incomplete or falsified application materials will not be accepted.

● There is no need to mail hard copy application documents. However, the university or the relevant school/department reserves the right to request the original documents or certified copies issued by designated authentication agencies for further verification.

Step 2: Track Your Application Status Online

You can check the progress and status of your application through your registered email or the Tianjin University of Technology International Student Application System.

Please make sure your email address is correct and check your inbox regularly to avoid missing important notifications (such as interview invitations, etc.).

Step 3: Admission and Enrollment

You can check your admission results through the Tianjin University of Technology International Student Application System or by visiting the announcement section of the International Student Office website. Admitted students must report to the university and complete registration strictly according to the date specified in the Admission Notice. At registration, original documents such as the diploma and degree certificate will be verified. Applicants who fail to obtain the required certificates will have their admission canceled.

Important Notes:

1. If any application materials are found to be falsified or not personally completed and submitted by the applicant, the application eligibility will be revoked immediately.

2. Scholarship recipients who are unable to register on time must inform the university in writing at least 15 days before the registration date, stating the reason. Those who fail to report without a valid reason will have their scholarship qualification canceled.

3. Students who fail the entrance medical examination, withdraw, or suspend their studies will have their scholarship eligibility revoked.
