I. Introduction of TUT

With a strong focus on engineering, Tianjin University of Technology（TUT) is a multi-disciplinary institution offering a well-rounded curriculum in engineering, science, management, humanities, and arts. It is also a key university under the Outstanding Engineers Education and Training Program. Founded in 1979, the TUT is a key municipal higher education institution that has grown rapidly alongside China's reform and opening-up and the modernization of Tianjin. The university offers a comprehensive higher education system, including undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs. Currently, the university has 16 colleges, 68 undergraduate majors, 6 first-level disciplines authorized for doctoral degrees (Material Science and Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, Management Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Chemistry), 2 professional doctoral degree authorization majors (Electronic Information, Energy and Power), 1 self-established interdisciplinary doctoral degree authorization major (Low-Altitude Technology and Engineering), 22 first-level master's degree authorization majors, 14 professional master's degree authorization majors, and 4 postdoctoral research stations (Material Science and Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, Management Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering).

The university vigorously implements the internationalization strategy, establishes partnership with 150 prestigious universities and scientific research institutions across 38 countries and regions. The TUT has established 2 Confucius Institutes and 1 Confucius Classroom in Poland and Côte d’ Ivoire. Currently, TUT has 2,056 faculty and staff members, and has enrolled more than 10,000 international students in total, covering bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees. The TUT offers programs in its dominant disciplines and recruits international students from all over the world.

1. Non-Chinese citizens, complying with the regulations of the Ministry of Education’s document [2020]No.12.

2. For undergraduate programs: High school graduate ( Pre - Graduate Certificate if not graduated yet; diploma required before enrollment) under the age of 25.

For master's programs: Bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35.

For doctoral programs: Master’s degree holder under the age of 40.

3. For Chinese-taught programs: HSK4(≥180) and provide valid score report.

4. Good conduct, healthy, and willing to abide by Chinese laws and TUT rules.

IV. How to Apply

1. Complete the Online Application via TUT’ s International Student Management Platform (URL: https://tjut.at0086.cn/StuApplication/Login.aspx) within the specific time: fill in application details and upload required materials.

2. Undergraduate applicants must take the required subjects of the Academic Proficiency Test for International Undergraduate Students (Test Application: https://csca.cn /home ) and upload transcripts in the system.

3. Application Period: November 20, 2025— May 31, 2026

4. Check your application progress via email or the online system. Admitted students (excepting scholarship recipients) need to pay a 400 RMB application fee within the University’s specified time. TUT will issue the Admission Letter and Visa Application Form for Foreigners to Study in China upon receiving the payment voucher. The fee is non-refundable for personal withdrawal.

VII. Admission and Enrollment

1. The TUT selects candidates for admission based on a comprehensive review of application materials and interviews. The final category and level of scholarships will be determined by TUT according to students’ overall quality ranking and the annual scholarship quota.

2. Applicants must provide accurate email, phone number, and mailing address. During the admission process, applicants must reply to TUT’ s emails promptly. Failure to reply in time or submit required supplementary materials within the specified period will be regarded as giving up the admission.

3. Once admitted, students are not allowed to change their major, study duration, or medium of instruction.

4. Admitted students must complete enrollment registration strictly in accordance with the time, location and other requirements specified in the Admission Notice. Those who fail to complete enrollment registration procedures for more than two weeks beyond the specified admission time will have their admission and scholarship eligibility canceled.  

5. For enrollment registration, students must bring the original of their highest academic degree certificate, Physical Examination Record for Foreigners, blood test report, HSK certificate and original copies of other application material. Failure to provide the required materials or failure to pass material verification will result in the cancellation of admission and scholarship eligibility.
